Enjoy Traditional Bush Camping near DUBBO on our 800Ha (2000 ac) working cattle farm

Enjoy the great outdoors while benefiting from convenient amenities (with a rustic touch) of HOT  showers and clean 'Long-drop' toilets, ensuring a pleasent and hassle-free stay. This is no Caravan Park  - This area offers an authentic escape from everyday life. Nestled in nature, this camping experience invites you to disconnect  from the stress and  pace of everyday life and immerse youself in the tranquil surroundings. Take a leisurely bushwalk to encounter vibrant birdlife and possibly spot native wildlife in their natural habitat. Embrace the serenity and make lasting memories in this beautiful outdoor sanctuary.

Some things to know

Strictly 10 km/h Speed Limit applies in all areas.

Dogs are welcome - must be on a lead at all times

Campfires only in our Designated Fire-Pits. Fires are subject to Rural Fire Service fire bans in warmer months and prevailing weather conditions     

Firewood can be purchased on site

When you get here . . . .

You must stop and Check-in at "THE SHED" 

You will find an Information Pack. Place your Camping Fee in the envelope provided BEFORE setting up Camp.

To  enjoy  camping near Dubbo,  go  North  on Newell Highway for approx.  20 km and turn Left onto Collie Road (all Sealed) for just over 6km

    About 30km and takes about 30 minutes


    Yes  - all fires must be in the Fire-Pits provided. 

    Fires can be lit from Easter week-end until October long week-end

    - subject to conditions.  You can purchase firewood when you get here


    Yes you will need to contact the Camping Ground before entry


    CASH into envelope provided at "The Shed" - No EFTPOS available


    No however if you want to reserve a Powered Sites it will need to be paid for in advance


    Yes, very welcome but they must be on lead and droppings cleaned up

    No, there is not a camp kitchen, only free BBQs and a sink to wash dishes

    Sealed road to front gate and then very good dirt tracks throughout


    When the Wilderness Area is open Yabbies can be caught in the creek

    You can have a campsite for a maximum of 5 nights

    The Main Area is usually accessible but the Wilderness Area may be closed


    No. There is one at Dubbo Showground or Taronga Western Plains Zoo


    Generally the creek is not suitable for swimming


    Conditions of entry

    10km/h Strictly applies at all times

    Drivers must be licenced - usual road rules apply. Driver training and riding on outside of vehicles is NOT permitted.  Please limit driving after dark.

    CHECK-OUT by 10:00am

    If you would like to extend your stay, complete a new envelope at  'THE SHED'  before 10:00am (Powered sites require confirmation for availability) Max. stay 5 nights. 

    DOGS

    MUST be on a lead at all times and in all areas.  Droppings are to be cleaned up immediately.  Dogs are not permitted near amenities or BBQ area.  DO NOT  leave your dog unattended.  Owners assume liability for their pets being on our premises and indemnify us against all claims.

    FIRES

    Only use Fire-Pits provided.  DO NOT place hot coals,  cooking items, oil or hot liquid on the ground.  Avoid putting cans or glass into fires and remember to pick up all woodchips.

    GENERATORS, CHAINSAWS or DRONES

    These items are NOT permitted to be used

    FLORA AND FAUNA

    Do not damage,  climb trees  or intentially frighten Wildlife.  Respect the Serenity.

    GUIDE POSTS

    These are set out as a boundry guide. DO NOT drive between them. DO NOT loosen, remove or drop things into them.

    NON-CAMPING VISITORS

    Management  must  be  notified  prior  to  arrival.  Visitors  must send text msg,  fill  in their details and pay the Visitor Fee of $5 per person at "THE SHED".  Visitors are to park in the 'Visitor Parking Area'.  Visiting hours are 12:00pm - 6:00pm (visiting dogs are not permitted).

    PUSH-BIKES

    Riding after sunset, motorised bikes or scooters are not permitted. Pedestrians have right of way.

    QUIET TIME

    We empathise Piece and Quiet.  Keep noise to a minimum, in particular between the hours of 9pm and 7am.

    RUBBISH - Please Separate

    General Rubbish . . . .  Cans & Bottles . . . . Cardboard  

    SECURITY CAMERAS

    These are placed near the Camping Ground entry to notify me of arrival & departure traffic.

    UN-LAWFUL, ANTI-SOCIAL or DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR

    Will not be tolerated.


    Refund policy

    • Powered Sites require payment of the total Camping Fee to secure a site. If you would like to extend your stay you will need to check for availability first . There is a 5 night maximum stay.
    • Cancellations within 7 days of the original booking we will give a 50% refund. After this no refunds will be issued.


    • Unpowered Sites require notification the day before an early departure to recieve any remaining Camping Fee refund.
